Rusticated Reverse Calabash (08) (AT)
While not crafted from traditional gourd, this Calabash from Caminetto does feature the removable tobacco chamber cap and expansive cooling chamber in the bowl traditional for the shape, enabling easy cleaning and promoting a drier smoking experience.
This piece also features reverse Calabash engineering inside the shank, providing an extra chamber to collect excess moisture. Shape wise, this piece possesses a broad, overhanging rim; a hearty bowl and shank; and a subtly arcing saddle stem of jet-black acrylic. Though coming in under five inches in total length, this design boasts some dense, muscular proportions that conform quite well to the hand.
The stummel wears a dark chestnut, rusticated finish that provides plenty of stimulating texture to delight the fingers, with the smooth, lightly stained rim providing a touch of contrast. Possessing a crisp curvature and a flattened panel at its base that enables it to sit quite sturdily, this piece would make for a charming, multifaceted desk pipe.
