Description

Golden colour; honeyed nose with a fair whiff of botrytis - seems fresher than 27 years, possibly something to do with the ageing regime at Gilette, some complex nutty and tropical fruit coming through on aeration; viscous palate with good acidity, quite full and rich. A little heat on the finish. Macadamia nuts. Moderately long - a very particular style of Sauternes.

Average annual production: 4500 bottles.
