Vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 2509A Steel Manual-Winding Wristwatch from 1954
This Calatrava Reference 2509 is now in our showroom in an absolutely stunning condition. The piece is 35mm in steel, making it even more rare. Dial is classic Calatrava style with applied facted baton markers and Perlé ring denoting the minutes. At 6 o'clock is a cross-hair subsidiary running small seconds dial with a silvered indicator hand. A twin faceted dagger sits at 12 o'clock, giving this model its unique presentation. Patek Philippe launched the Ref. 2509 along its sister model Ref. 2508 in 1950. These two models are also known as the 'Grande Calatrava Waterproof" as it was one of the first waterproof case introduced by Patek Philippe. Calatrava Reference 2509 in good conditions are getting rarer, especially examples of this in Steel where less than 20 examples are available in the market.
