Château Mouton Rothschild
Château Mouton Rothschild, 1979
The wine has an attractively brilliant, red-orange colour and a nose that opens slowly to reveal notes of cedar wood, spice, pepper and black berry fruit with airing. Relatively refined on the palate, it shows good structure, delicate and not overly powerful, with supple, silky tannins. Spice, caramel, earth and leather complete the pleasant impression in the mouth, combining subtle flavours with an agreeable structure. The finish is typical of the vintage, not particularly long but quite expressive.
