The cross was tested for 800/1000 purity which was the current silver content at the time. The Cross Bears a German writing on the reverse : MARIAN. JUNGFRAUEN- CONGREGATION WITTENBACH, which litterally translates into : Young Women's Marian Congragation of Wittenbach, which is a small Town near St Gallen in Switzerland. Research shows that the time period of this rosary is around 1920. The place of origin of the Rosary ( German speaking Part of Switzerland) explains its general German style with the Credo cross. 2- Ave Beads are hand faceted Amethyst beads with average diameter size of 8.3 mm 3- Pater Beads are a 10 mm filigree sterling silver beads linked by a sterling chain.
