Madura is one of the oldest batik centres in Indonesia. This batik is a classic example of the gorgeous work done on the island - it has a very dark blue almost black background with a flowers and pheasant motif in two shades of red, blue and white. Very well executed, this is a genuine batik using natural dyes on high quality cotton.
