About the artist: Vera Veniaminovna Dovgalevskaya was born on August 21, 1916 in Skvira.
From 1929 to 1931 she studied at the Kiev Art College with K. Trokhimenko, and from 1932 to 1937 - at the Kiev Art Institute with F. Krichevsky, P. Volokidin and K. Eleva.
V.V. Dovgalevskaya was exhibited at the Anniversary art exhibition of the Ukrainian SSR, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
Since 1963, a member of the Kiev organization of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR.
Dovgalevskaya V.V. worked in the field of easel painting. Master of portraiture, still life and landscape. The artist’s works are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, Bulgaria and other countries.
