Dino Martens (1894–1970) Murano glass vase "Rest of the day"

Circa 1950-60

Vase "Rest of the Day" Murano glass object. Very thick-walled, heavy clear glass, blue inside. Molten murrines, zanfirico spirals, twisted ribbons, bronze and green powder inclusions, cracked gold and silver foil. Flat foot. Exceptional Italian art glass in the best form. The name of this vase arose because after a working day the remaining glass parts were processed into a final object.
