Vintage Japanese bronze orin (singing bowl) altar set comprising the original inscribed bowl, striker, brocade cushion and display stand.
The bowl bears the maker's mark 堤製 (Tsutsumi) and displays a beautiful deep chocolate-brown patina developed through decades of careful use. The exterior features a subtle hammered finish that catches light beautifully while preserving a refined, understated appearance.
Unlike many modern decorative examples, this bowl produces the clear resonant tone expected of a quality Japanese Buddhist altar bell. The complete set remains highly suitable for continued ritual use, meditation practice, or display within a traditional butsudan setting.
The set includes:
• Bronze orin singing bowl with maker's mark
• Original leather-wrapped striker
• Brocade rin cushion
• Gloss black display stand
