SPEYSIDE SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY
Bottling in Scotland in June 2018
Cask N°171247
Alc. 48% Vol.
"We like to stroll through Speyside, a land with an abundance of rivers and streams and clear, crisp air. A land that for thousands of years has been a silent witness to the twists and turns of history, a land on the other side of Hadrian’s Wall that has always been waiting to be discovered.
This twenty-year-old malt impresses us, it makes us want to set off to discover it in person, to see and touch for ourselves the various elements that come together to create it.
We pour a little into the glass…
Colour? Gold. Nose? A typical Speyside style, a little less rounded with notable plant and mentholated notes. Less fruity. There’s no doubt, this can all be down to the cask. Also somewhat resinous, almost like pancakes with maple syrup, dried pears and dates. On the palate, dried fruit but also tea. The finish is long, with tons of cinnamon and figs.
Excellent." - Samaroli
