Andre Joseph Grill

Andre Joseph Grill (1916-1985), American artist was a prolific painter for over 40 years.

His style grew and evolved and he produced works including landscapes, portraits, figures, nudes and abstractions. During the second half of his painting career his works became insightful, abstract, innovative and profound. He spent several years in post World War II Paris, painting and sketching and then returned to his Wisconsin home, where he painted in near artistic isolation.
