This bent Billiard from Caminetto features a tall, stout bowl that sits atop a plump, slightly pronounced heel. The shank kicks high coming out of the robust transition before giving way to a saddle stem of jet-black vulcanite, which adds a good bit of height to the piece and arcs for a comfortable smoking posture. This piece is dressed in the New Dear finish, hearkening back to the original Ascorti-Radice era of the workshop, with the darkened, fumed rim and "melting wax" motif lending the design a folksy, old-world aesthetic specific to Italian pipe making.
Part of the heel, the transition, and the shank are left smooth for a note of contrast that offsets bowl's carved texture. The bowl boasts a rather generous tobacco chamber, nearly two inches in depth, ensuring plenty of long, luxurious smoking sessions.
